TMZ.com reports that the new quarterback for the NY Jets, Mark Sanchez, was on the LAX-JFK redeye last Saturday night:

A friend from AA once told me how many big named celebrities would buy a Y fare ticket and expect to be upgraded to F just because of who they were. This was especially prevalent on TATL flights.
In their current financials, airlines frown upon upgrading a $500 fair to a $5000+ fair no matter who you are.

I ran into the guy from HBO's cathouse in line to board an AA flight in DFW last month. He was surrounded by yes men in suits - quite the entourage. And he had a giant andrew dice clay style leather jacket on.

Queen Latifah (aka Dana Owens) at the JFK Admiral's Club about 4.30 this afternoon. I gave her a little nod and a "Hi" as I exited and she entered and got a genuine-sounding "Thank you" in return.
