How to get more AA miles JFK-LGB-JFK
Hi you all, This is my first posting, I am so glad I found Flyertalk.com. I have been out of the loop for many years, Still remember the good old days of PanAm mileage program,upgrades and free travel. I would like to be able to do it again.
My first stop was to purchase JFK-LGB RT. ticket from AA looking to picked up some 14,000 miles. Since I do not know Long Beach, CA can you suggest way to add milles to this trip. I will be there mid Aug. for 6 days. Any coupons or discount available?

But the NYLGB bonus offer is for "nonstop travel on AA's new service between New York/ JFK and Long Beach, CA from June 15, 2002 through September 15, 2002"
If you route with multiple segments for more miles, won't you lose the double mile bonus?

swag, you're right about the non stop service and bonus miles apply to direct flights.

When I make a booking on aa.com for JFK to LGB roundtrip, I do not get the "promotional discount code" box. So I guess the 10% discount does not work for this fare?

doesn't work for any webfares. (L class)
