Is this legal award ticketing?

I live in city A, I am stuck in city B, some trips from B to C route through city A.

B to A now...nine month stop over in my home city
A to C in nine months
C to A in ten months

Is there anything illegal with this? It seems like I got an extra B to A for free.

I asked the agent taking the reservation and she said this was legal ticketing.

I just want to make sure I do not have problems in the future--especially since I will continue to travel from city A on other tickets in those nine months.

What are your thoughts?

I did several of these types of routings years ago, but nothing recent. As long as you are ticketed with the stopover (O vs X) on the ticket, you will be fine.

It does not look correct as one must complete all travel within one year from date travel commenced.

Travel does commence and end within one year.

This is actually a B to C round trip with a stop over at A and never taking (or ticketing the last A-B)

Also, as I said above this is an award ticket.

It seems like you can get one one way ticket and one round trip ticket for the same amount of miles?
