I know there was a thread with funny gate display names (the combination of first three letters of last name and first letter of first name) but I can't find it with any of the search terms I've tried.

For what it's worth, my use of the word allusive was intentional and accurate. In posting that I was saying that they were alluding to the humorous entries by pointing out the ordinary ones, thus making the posts allusive. That said, if you didn't get the humour, then it could also indeed be elusive.
