change in mileage calculation?

Has anyone noticed a change in mileage calculation?

I flew DFW-SEA in November and it was 1660 miles. In Decemeber it was 1659. I haven't flown any other routes with AA in December so I don't know if any other routes changed.

I have an "official AAdvantage" Mileage Reference Chart that MCI and INSIDE FLYER put out in 1994. It lists DFW-SEA at 1660 miles.

It does if you fly it 60.24 times and miss EXP by 61 miles

If you've flown 99,939 miles and you're 61 miles short, just call AA. You'll be EXP.

It was 1659 last summer. It went to 1660 for a while and then flipped back to 1659. Maybe it they doing something with rounding.

When it got warm, the earth expanded ever so slightly and thus, to be fair, an extra mile was awarded for this flight. As temperatures declined later, the earth returned to its previous size and thus the flight was rounded back down to 1659 mi.

Hope this helps,
FewMiles..
