Rather have 6 inches of legroom and an IFE box on the 319, I take it?

I dunno...I'm just not a big fan of really old aircraft.

Aircraft are often much older than you can imagine. Plus, AA's MD80s are really not that old. Delta has many planes much older than AA, some touching 29 years old.

Some of the AA MD-80's are nearly 30 year old. N403A For example.

I know i'm getting really specific here, but does anyone know if there are specific routes/a way I can find out which routes mainly/have all MD82's flying on it? I've already logged the MD83 so I want to fly on at least one MD82.

No. They are dispatched interchangeably. There probably isn't even any difference left between AA's MD-82s and MD-83s these days as the MD-82s have been "reengined" (by service bulletin: lots of paperwork and a little minor tweaking of the engine controls to go from a -217 to -219) and could very well have received an MTOW increase by service bulletin too.

Looks like one of the all MD-80 stations, ONT, got one of its DFW frequencies switched to a 738. Not sure when this happened, but there still a few more daily flights that use the S80. Maybe it is a good news that it is a gradual switch rather than all at once.
