CX YVR>JFK F 25000 aadvantage
I want to fly cathay pacific 0888 777-300ER YVR>JFK in First. Am I correct that it is only 25000 aadvantage points if I can find it on milesaver. What confuses me is british airways lists the flight as 3 class econ, premium econ, business when I search on their site. But I believe there is also first class in the 77H on this route?
I would also like to add a one way from JFK>MCO with a multi day stopover in JFK or maybe just a <24hr stopover. Is this possible to combine CX and AA flights when I call in all for 25K aadvatage points?
Thanks

To fly in CX First on YVR-JFK you will be charged 32,500 miles. You can include MCO in the same booking for the same 32.5K miles, but the layover can't be multi-day.
The AA Partner Airline award chart is listed on aa.com https://www.aa.com/i18n/disclaimers/...rtnerChart.jsp

Anyone think its worth spending 32500 for CX first vs 25000 for CX business for a 5 hr flight? They are both lie flat seats, what other perks come with first over business?
Thanks

Better meal service. Better booze. Get to you use the Galleries First Lounge on the ground. If you're going to YVR, I can't imagine a better ride than that.

Skip the GF lounge at JFK, IMHO...it is one of the few First lounges in the OW network that is actually worse than its Business class equivalent. The Business lounge has the same amenities (aside from perhaps booze, but I don't drink alcohol so it doesn't affect me) and a MUCH nicer decor and layout.
There is good reason why: BA's own F pax use the CCR. So the GF lounge is just for ow Emeralds.

"Skip the GF lounge at JFK"
The OP is not asking about flying JFK-YVR. He is asking about YVR-JFK on CX's overnight flight.

The only problem with YVR-JFK in CX F is that the flight is too short. JFK-YVR is better owing to the headwinds.
Is is worth the extra 7500 miles over J? Duh.
No caviar, but the PJs are really nice.

yeah I think flying jfk to yvr is weird cause you get in at like 2AM, what do I then do, get a hotel room, just strange timing, maybe there is a hotel at the airport. Guess its fine if you live there. flying the other way you get in at 7am and can just hit the ground running in new york. Assuming I can get some shut eye.
Ive never flown in a lie flat seat, going to get my first taste on the american 77W from LHR - NYC in may.

Not exactly. You first have to go through Immigration and Customs at JFK. CX888 does not pre-clear at YVR.

Personally, I think F is a waste on this particular route given it's a redeye, unless you plan on staying awake the whole flight or are too large for the J seat. But if you don't think you'll get the opportunity to try CX F another time, then go for it, it's only 7,500 extra miles.

OK, maybe sleeping in the terminal was weird but you can always get a hotel room.
It will cost you 32,500 AA miles or 37,500 BA miles.
