Smoke in the cabin; instead of Montreal we are in Albany.
No fire to be seen, they are looking at the nose gear. |

No fire to be seen, they are looking at the nose gear. Looks like a few media outlets picked up on this: http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/s...state-19821284 Sounds like another plane is coming to get you edit: looks like the ferry arrived: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/E...020Z/KLGA/KALB |
how many points to you get for a diversion cause of smoke? ;)
|
Well, they did give us pizza
|
I don't think there are any Duty Free outlets in ALB, hopefully you took care of that in LGA.
|
...glad all is well....and that AA is fairly rapidly getting another plane to you....
....how scary was it? How much info was announced to pax while in the air? To me, any problems seem scarier when on small RJs....likely the psychology of small spaces, more engine noises and worry about less experienced crew..... best wishes! |

edit: looks like the ferry arrived: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/E...020Z/KLGA/KALB BTW, it's not AA mainline, it's an Eagle flight. |
Here is the replacement flight: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/EGF9811
Landed at 19:34, so it looks like the revised 20:50 ETA will work just fine. |
