I have a different kind of wish...

I really wish that AA would make the ORD-MSY route mainline again, even if only for peak travel times each year. The RJ's are fine and all, but I miss the Mad Dog flights where I had a little extra room and a hot meal was served.

I realize AA is unlikely to increase their presence anytime soon in SAN, but since this is a "wish" list...

SAN-SFO (738)
SAN-MSY (738 or A319)
SAN-ISP (or at least LAX/DFW/ORD/MIA-ISP)
SAN-FLL (A319 or A321)
SAN-PBI (A319)
SAN-SJO (A319 or A321)
SAN-SJU (763 red-eye)
SAN-YYZ (A319 or A321)
SAN-YVR (738)
SAN-YUL (A319 or A321)

Back when SJC was a hub, I'll bet that AA would have loved to serve LHR from SJC. Problem was, they couldn't. Until 2008, when the restrictions of Bermuda II were lifted, SJC was not a permitted gateway to LHR. Just like DFW wasn't permitted (recall that DFW flights had to fly to LGW or connect at ORD).

DFW-BOG (previously announced but has not been loaded. Canceled or just on hold?)

MIA-ADZ (would rather DFW be the gateway but I'm (semi-) realistic)

USA-MUC

SFO-BOS/PHL

SMF-ORD/MIA

SAN - BOS (they USED to have this)
SAN - SFO (the most important CA route that does not touch LAX)
JFK/ORD - DEL/BOM (they used to have ORD - DEL; really need these to compete with UA because UA has non-stop routes to India while AA has none)
Will be very happy to see SAN-DCA (US currently has this route), but AA needs more frequencies here (1 vs 3 for UA)
Increased frequency on SAN - JFK (UA has 4 a day on SAN - EWR vs 1 for AA)

If they increased the frequency from SAN to NYC and DC and introduced a Boston non-stop (all of these should be profitable), flew to India from the US (not unreasonable), and added a SAN - SFO (unlikely I know - but Virgin has 4 flights/day), then I'd possibly drop UA completely.

Am loving my time as an EXP, but haven't cut the cord to UA completely just yet!

Prefer DFW-JNB (and/or CPT) but I'd take MIA-JNB (and/or CPT).

However I believe the shortest route (and presumably cheapest to operate) would be LGA-JNB (and/or CPT).

DFW-BOG was mentioned in a Dallas Morning News article today, it will begin service in the fall but still not loaded on their website
