2013 PLT / Platinum Upgrade Success Rate (consolidated)

Almost half way thru 2013. Fly from MSP or RST thru ORd. Running about 60% UG success. How's other PLT's doing this year?

About 50% of sticker upgrade requests. Most of my misses are transcons, unsurprisingly. Probably about to miss another :-).

I'm 1/9 on transcons. Those are about the only ones I've requested.

A little north of 60%, and I try to fly during off peak times if possible.

I am 100% on off-peak, and missed a few during peak times (e.g. ORD-LGA on a Thurs. afternoon).

I have also been successful getting my non-status companion upgraded most of the time. Also got her upgraded on two TATL flights from coach to biz, WITHOUT me as a companion.

No complaints here. And I even got a J to F opup on a TATL as gravy ^

WAY better than UA last year, that's for sure.

100% (3/3) + 1 rare TATL OpUp. My only Upgrade eligible route is MIA-SDQ, which is getting more difficult to get upgraded.

25%. 0% on BOS-ORD, which I do regularly, pulls the overall success rate down. Generally fly peak times, though, so I'm not overly surprised.

PLT UG Success

I typically only request 25% of the time and usually flights where I feel my odds are better and it's worth the stickers (eg dinner flights home where I can enjoy the meal and drinks...etc), but I'm about 70% when requested at time of booking...of 35 legs so far this year have requested about 10 and hit on 7.

I'm 5 for 6 where I tried to upgrade with stickers. I'm not counting miles plus copay upgrades or gifted SWUs.

I am averaging about 20% hub to hub week days...little over 70% on Central American flights any day of the week. And 0% on LAX-ORD.

I have gotten 4/5 that I have requested this year (missed out on ORD-SAN). I bought all tickets many months in advance though. I was typically 1 on the stand-by list for the ones I received.

Generally very close to perfect but most my trips are MIA-TPA.

I have a flight on Monday (ie within 72 hours from now) that shows 3 available seats in first, and I requested the upgrade about a month ago. Why do y'all think I haven't cleared yet??

100% so far. The only mainline route I've flown this year is SJO-DFW-SJO a few times.
