Amex Plat - access to Admirals' after Merger?

I am considering obtaining a platnium american express card. The biggest benefit for me would be the free access to the airline lounges. Maybe this question has been asked/answered before - so I apologize for my tardiness - my understanding is that currently, the platnium card will get you into Continental, NW and TWA lounges. Once the merger occurs, will Admirals' Clubs be available instead?
Thanks for any help you might give!!!!

It won't happen -- for the same reason that AA had to pull out of the Membership Rewards program. Their deal with CitiCorp prevents them from offering benefits through AmEx.

Interestingly, they can work with Diners because CitiCorp runs Diners US...
