US Airways Adds Amenities to Coach, Will These Carry Over to AA? (AA started them...)
 
Interesting (and generous) news out of merger partner US Airways today:

US Airways to Offer Upgrade International Economy Cabin Experience


US Airways announced it will offer complimentary headsets and wine with their main meal to passengers traveling in economy class on flights to and from Europe, South America, and the Middle East, beginning May 1. In addition, the airline will also introduce new amenity kits in Envoy, the airline’s international business class, starting this July....

There will be lots of changes like this over the next few years, where one airline adopts the policy of the other. Sometimes AA will follow US, sometimes the other way around.


Score this as one that benefits passengers.

I not only have my Bose noise canceling, but I carry a cheap (but good) ear bud back up pair permanently stashed in my travel gear for just in case.

..or those who have them broken by their fat-assed neighbours doing god knows what while they went to the bathroom. Yeah, I'm still bitter about the nice pair that got broken last November :p

I thought I traveled in coach last year to Paris. Then I realized I was actually seated in AA's business class.
