Trying Plan LAX - NRT on JAL - NEED HELP

I'm looking at ExpertFlyer to determine what dates have availability where I could use my AA miles for a business class ticket.

Expert Flyer shows C, J, D, X, and I as JAL's business classes. Are all of those classes bookable with AA miles?

Moving over to the AA forum since this topic squarely fits within the scope of the AAdvantage program.

U Class for international business does not even appear on ExpertFlyer's list of classes.

YIKES! Did not know that. Is it best to just call AA directly then with possible flights in mind?

Website for British Airways shows JL availability which (in my experience) matches up to what is available for booking when calling AA.

Or sign up for JAL account and look on their own website for availability.

Unfortunately that doesn't always match up with what AA sees. The BA site is a better bet from my experience.

Agreed. I've yet to experience a situation where AA did not see what BA sees re: Oneworld partner availability. I noticed that BA now also shows Malaysia Airlines segments which appear to have tons of availability.

You could also have a free trial on Awardnexus for JL availability.
