Republic Airways to operate 47 E175s as American Eagle [with photos]
Neither is Eagle, Chautauqua, SkyWest, ExpressJet or the like but PC works on those (I've used on all but #2); and I've also used Republic often on UA, and their sister company Shuttle America for DL a lot as well. It's not a Republic issue, it's an AA one integrating them. Take a look at the following and find me anything but the booking carriers, not a 'regional /feed/express/connection/etc' to be found. I do however count eight (Eagle not being one nor any of the others listed above)...

E 175 Republic now better flight experience than AA IMHO
Flew the E175 from EWR to ORD last week, did not get the upgrade so I snagged seat 8D (first Y row behind F). Very, very nice. Ample leg room. Also, the tray table was excellent! Not sure if this is due to the newness of the equipment compared to the super rickety trays on CR7s…
Related question to those of you who boarded at ORD: Did you get TSA Pre-Check on these flights? I get Pre on every other AA or Eagle flight, but am 0 for 5 so far on the E175s operated by Republic...

Having to undergo standard shoe, belt, puter removal...what was PreT
originally intended
To ease ???
The 1-2 seating configuration in F was a pleasant throwback to
CIVILIZED flying....the FA service was attentive and with a smile.
The 2-2 in Y was also noted as a more comfortable travel experience.
IMHO I'd rather fly this comfortable bird than the aa 738 Xian
Warrior configured sardine can.

Another Pre-Check miss for me last evening EWR-ORD on Republic. Sure, EWR is only doing the "expedited" version of Pre-Check (leave shoes on, but baggie and laptop come out), but still…

Can anyone comment how 8A is? (first row of MCE) 8D/F seem to be blocked off on all flights for pre-selection.
Is it narrower due to tray in the armrest?
Do you get underseat storage under 4A, or do you have to split it with 8C?
Is it better to just go with a regular MCE, like row 9 or 10?

AA is not a participant @ EWR -- any flight out of EWR will be a crapshoot.

Hartford, CT (BDL) to ORD, first time on E75, first time since they brought in Pre that I didn't get it. I'm Pre through AA Status.

As for the flight itself, loved "that new plane smell". Great seat (A2) LOTS of legroom, and the tray table wasn't uncomfortable. Food service was normal Eagle catering. The meals were roast chicken with couscous, and BBQ platter. I had the BBQ, and all components had good flavor. The "roast beef" was a mislabel - 'twas actually "smoked brisket", which is more appropriate to the entrée anyway. Very attentive FA, and quite friendly. Enforced FEBO. Noise levels were reasonable.
Over all, an excellent experience. I hope it doesn't get tanked by the merger.

So I see from the last few pages these aircraft lack wifi. Do they have ovens?

i didnt even get mixed nuts on a recent E175 flight before the lunch was served. was this a one-off catering flaw or does AE not do the mixed nuts anymore? the weird thing was that on decent i found an empty ramekin on the floor which made it seem like there were mixed nuts on the previous flight or from the night before.

The only "R" meal coded flights that don't get nuts are morning flights, where the accompaniment Biscoff cookies (no nuts) and Beverages.

Flew on my first YX E175 last week. The E-Jets have always been my favorite RJ as it feels like a mainline aircraft. Snapped a new pics:
E175 at the gate waiting to be boarded
View forward from 3A. Love the 1-2 layout. Wish the seatbacks has two pockets.
View back from 3A.
View across the aisle.
View of the aisle. F seats seem to feel reclined even when upright.
No valet checking bags! Overhead bins in F on the 2 side are deeper and takes a standard 22" rollaboard wheels in first. The 1 side is shallow and can only take a small bag.
Overhead bins in Y take standard rollaboards sideways on both sides of the cabin.
Passenger service unit
No smoking signs on stickers. The PSU had a Electronics Off light.
Good knee room.
Left armrest with no smoking sticker.
Tray table half open.
Try table fully open.
Power port.
Safety card.
Forward galley. No ovens.
1L door.
