Blankets in Economy - International

I did a search and didn't find anything on this lately.

My last international flights I was fortunate enough to be upgraded but I think I'll be in economy on an upcoming LAX-LHR-LAX trip.

Will they have blankets in Y? Or do I need to bring my own?

Thanks much for any insight.

I was on AA136 LAX to LHR in Coach last Wednesday, Nov 7. They provided a pillow and blanket for each seat in Coach.

The coach blankets are fairly thin. If you tend to get cold when you sleep, and especially if you're sitting near an exit door, you might want to bundle up or bring an extra blanket.

They are also quite small - Had to pick between covering my feet or my torso.

But yes, nice that they still have blAAnkets.

Considering it is nearly winter in Europe you may want to dress for slightly below freezing temperatures. It can get cold when you get off the plane. An extra coat and sweater come in handy on board if the plane is cold/uncomfortable.

There is always the question about how sanitary airline blankets are. It is always better to bring your own.

I was cozy and warm in seat 31J. I had my extra-thick, 100% cotton LLBean sweatshirt and did not need a blanket.

And, yes, it's cold here in Germany. Yesterday the car thermometer said -1C.
