SYD-NAN(stop)-AKL on FJ/AA one award?

SYD-NAN(stop)-AKL on FJ/AA one award?

Heading to down under for 4 weeks and thinking using AA/Avios to swing by fiji and nz. is it possible?

any recommendation? have some united points as well but air new zealand seats are tough ...

The only stopovers that AA permits on a single award are at the North American gateway on a North America to other zone award.

If planning economy class, I would suggest that this may not be a great value for an award flight. In economy SYD-NAN, at AUD247 plus taxes of $81 , doesn't seem a great value use of 20,000 AA miles
