Fare Decrease on SEA-AUA Ticket
 

Searched fourm but information on fare decreases was in 2007. Purchased tickets on dicounted Y on Sunday morning. Today the fare for the same flights are $86 cheaper. Anyone have any luck getting refund?

If you bought a non-refundable ticket, then no luck since the change fee would be $150. If you bought a refundable ticket, then you can cancel and re-book.

I did it pre 3/3 with CO, they only charged $50, not $150, and refunded the rest (if i recalled correctly it was between $30-50) through TCV, I posted what happened on FT somewhere before. The lower price has to be exactly the same fare class, date, and time. I do not know if United will entertain the same solution though.

AA used to do this some years ago without imposing a fee, and that is likely the information you are getting. For the last few years, AA has not done this. There is a fee imposed (usually $150 on domestic tickets). If the price has gone down by more than $150, you can get back the amount it has gone down minus the change fee.
