FC HNL-FLL or HNL-MIA
Is it possible to piece an itinerary together and get a saver award by calling?
I can find availability on HNL-LAX then LAX-FLL if searched separately, but when done as 1 search, the flight that had open seats dont show up.
It is for 3 people on may 12 or 13

Is it a legal connection in LAX (i.e., less than four hours, or last flight in, first flight out)?

I think that the legal connection is the problem. The only flight departs aftern 3:30pm from LAX on those days is 9:50 flight, made it a stop over instead of connection. Stop over is not allowed in domestic redemption.

probably wouldnt buy. We have our coach seats reserved but were looking to go in FC because it is a loooong trip.
I assume the connection is the culprit here :\ thanks for checking guys, I doubt anything would open as the date closes in.

I have been able to take the evening flight MIA/LAX, spend the night in a LAX hotel and then fly LAX-Hawaii
As long as it was the last flight in and the first flight out it was a legal connection. I have done this on both paid and award tickets as recently as Jan 2011
