Did I phone and book a Fuel Dump Ticket?
Seeing some good business class tickets from MXP-YVR/SEA in the $2500 range. Anyhow, I already have a ticket from SEA-YYJ so I wanted to book a coach ticket MXP-SEA return YVR-MXP in business. AA.com will not let you do this with multi-city option coach one way return the other.
Anyhow by my calculations the fare should be around $1700 (I looked at half the coach ticket MXP-SEA and half the business ticket YVR-MXP)
Had to phone. So I did.
Anyhow my reservation has been "On Request" for a couple of days. Do you think this was a fuel dump ticket. I am waitlisted for the coach ticket and want it to revert to a ticketed ASAP to increase my odds for an upgrade. What do you think?

I have had tickets on hold clear upgrades before purchase, so my guess is that time of the request matters more than the purchase date

The reason I think they may be looking at the ticket is my reservation has been "On Request" for a couple of days.
I am hoping to use a SWU to upgrade the one direction. The return I am flying BA metal so no option on that way.
I posted here before I phone tonight just in case I did something wrong.
What happened is I booked a one-way award to Europe two years ago - and have been booking all my trips departing Europe since then..... I guess I should book an award back home so I can re-position myself from home.

to my understanding, the "fuel dump" was discovered and eliminated.
