Not if you're upgrading from coach. I'd rather have a 767-300 sleeper seat than a 767-200 recliner. We used to have morning 767-300 service to DFW with a return in late afternoon, too. Really miss those flights.

Depends. If you are an economy passenger looking for an upgrade the 763 offers a better cabin than the 762.

Same menu as below for January LAX-BOS red-eye.

Chicken is the standard poached chicken with "grill marks" painted on for presentation. Salad also had toasted almonds, strawberries, and goat cheese.

Midnight Raid
PDB: Water, OJ, or "Champagne"

Choice of a salad with grilled chicken or a large cheese plate. I went with the chicken salad. Came on one tray with the usual warm roll, mixed nuts, and chocolate.

Here is the "or cereal" option.

Breakfast
PDB: Water or OJ

Been on a terrible streak for food and planes going mechanical. 6th breakfast flight in a row I've been offered the plain Kraft cheese omelet or Chex cereal. 5th time in a row I chose cereal. Came with the usual ramekin of fruit (strawberries and blueberries) and a banana. Also had my 4th MX issues this year. After the 10K foot chime, the FAs announced the water system in the old slAAveship called in sick so no coffee, tea, or lavatory sink water. Then again, the Galley Springs water with a twist of JET-A based coffee is not anything to write home about.

BTW, there was curious fruit offering last week on AA1295. Instead of blueberries, I got blackberries.

Second segment of the day was yet another chicken adobo sandwich. Only 4 Asian salmon salads loaded and they were all taken by the time the FA got to me. I think this is the 8th time I've seen that sandwich in the last 6 weeks.*SIGH*

The flight was scheduled to depart at 3.45pm but got a rolling MX delay. Finally departed at 5.35pm, which caused some exciting moments in ORD with my connection, but that's another story..

Green Salad with Italian Dressing
Stacy's Pita Chips with Hummus
Cheese Enchillada with Beans and Rice (pretty good, I was hungry!)
Or
Chicken Cobb Salad (looked good)
Coconut-sugar cookie

I made a 3-segment trip on 1/21. LAX-DFW-ORD-LAX.

Upgraded on all segments, so all meals yesterday were air meals.

LAX-DFW 2410

Oatmeal or Cheese Omelet

Small fruit dish

Bagel or Biscuit

DFW-ORD 2348

Chicken Panini or Cold Salmon Salad

Pita chips w/ hummus

Baked Cookie Cran/Oatmeal

ORD-LAX 889

Mixed Nuts w/ beverage

Shrimp Cocktail Starter

Grilled Chicken w/ Sweet Potatoes and Pea Pods

Choice of Roll

Vanilla Ice Cream w/ Peach and crispy topping

Unfortunately, the ORD-LAX segment was quite bumpy (nearly the whole flight) and I started feeling ill, but made it home. By 900PM it was a mass purge and I've been down for the count since then. First time this has happened, and talking about and looking at these photos brings back unfavorable memories. Two more MRs to go, too bad I know what meals will be served and since AA rarely rotates. I guess I'll bring food on or skip it until arrival. Has anybody else gotten sick from the meals in flight?
