I find it intersting that the Continental Breakfast is more substantial than the cereal option on a regular Breakfast flight. (You get yogurt on for the continental breakfast that you don't get for the regular breakfast.)

First Class

Lunch AA442

Warm mixed nuts

Fresh seasonal greens offered with sour cream and herb dressing or premium extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Assorted gourmet breads

Open faced Roast Beef Sandwich
Sliced roast beef au jus flavored with thyme topped with grilled asparagus and Havarti cheese on bruschetta

Shrimp Cold Plate
Shrimp tikka flavored with garam masala and jalapeno pepper, accompanied by mango chutney and a lentil salad with Thai vinaigrette

Fair Trade chocolate iice cream topped with marshmallows and chopped walnuts

A selection of seasonal fruit and fine cheese

Freshly baked on board cookies

Chilled sparkling or still water with a fresh citrus garnish

Printed menu card stock has changed from the former glossy to more textured stock. Also larger size than the typical transcon, which was smaller size than the Intl menu..this menu card same size as intl cards.

Sadly "American Classics" feature identification and wine pairing suggestions no longer present on printed menu.

It does appear to be keeping the excellent and long running theme of art on cover by AA employees changing every quarter.

Breakfast

PDB: Water / OJ. (I chose coffee, however)

We were in bulkhead, so the only choice left when the FA's arrived were:

Cheese Omelette with potatoes
Choice of biscuit or cinnamon raisin bagel with various jams, butter, etc.
Fresh fruit - strawberries, honeydew, cantaloupe.

I believe the other choice was cereal and milke with fruit.

Same exact menu on my recent dinner r/t flights between LAX and Chicago (AA 1890 and AA 637). The service on AA 637 was impeccable--the FA served each course individually even though she didn't have to, and she let the sundaes sit out a little so they wouldn't be icicles when served.

No cookies on either leg grrr!!!!!! @:-)

Was it chipotle or herb-crested chicken, i only thought there was only 1 version but apparently not.

I love pre-made sludge sundaes over cookies, I've gotten too many cookies on snack flights lately

Imaginative description

I hated the Greek salad, but the chicken was good. Although, I couldn't see or taste any basil or oregano. All I tasted was garlic
