thank you superscot for posting the pic. it's not that I doubted your integrity, it's just that this is such an incredible move by AA, the airline that rejoices in mediocrity, that I just had to see it to believe it.

Although I counselled patience in my previous post I have to say that the photo of the pyjama bag that superscot provided as evidence of the existence of said PJs looks to me like a pair of boxer shorts with a smudge on them - is Monica Lewinsky in the house?

I am glad to hear this and hope it is rolled out fleet wide. With the aging 777s they need to step it up a bit. In all honesty their hard product is not that bad. Not enough privacy, but a rather large seat. After recently flying CX, JAL, and AA all F in one trip I can say that obviously the AA leg was not near the others (and in this case a bad head FA made it worse), but I was left with the impression that if they just did PJs and turndown it would be a pretty good product and experience.
Good move by AA if it turns out to be true.

Come on you guys - be patient. It will take a couple of days to dryclean superscot's PJs. We will see them again on a flight soon. Superscot omitted to inform you that like the Bose headsets the flight attendant takes an inventory of who got PJs and collects them at the end of the flight for re-use.

AA used to provide on Tokyo flights Kimono like jacket tops - and collected them before the end of the flights.....
I'm on a ORD - LHR in the front of the bus on Friday - PJ's would be nice if it were a sure thing.... my CX will still travel with me.

OZ and JL definitely do not and did not recycle PJs on my recents flights in F with them. The PJs were cheap but new with tags and the FAs encouraged me to take them home.
JL: (small pouch on top of the blanket)

OZ (nicely wrapped with tags)

ANA does recylce and re-use their pajamas, but only because they are made with thicker and better materials. Also, they give out wool sweaters in addition to the PJs and that's why they recycle.
I know I use airline's nasty blankets and seats, but I just can't wear re-used/recycled clothing, so I always reject PJs when I fly ANA F.

Yes, they do.
Incidentally, there's an excellent article about QF's "real" first service at http://boardingarea.com/blogs/onemil...ore-to-london/ . Required reading for all AApologists!

It's like a Bigfoot footprint. There is no doubt evidence of something unusual occurring, but the source is proving to be exceedingly difficult to locate.
