Maybe the problem of profitability with QF international is that pajamas are available in both business and first class.
With luck Mrs QF will be able to compare the QF offering with the AA product in late Nov. as a result of her ex NRT flight. By then we will know if the AA distribution has been set up in a manner to have a consistent product with routes shared with BA or whether is a new system-wide feature.
We wander through interesting times.

Hope this will work out on my ORD-DEL flight tomorrow. I packed my CX Pjs just in case. Getting the PJS and hanging up clothes on boarding always makes the flight a lot more comfortable. Mattress pad and turn down service also help. Fingers crossed this will roll our systemwide.

Nice touch by AA, always the small details that go a long way. Now only if the level of service could be more consistent on Flagship flights.
Getting off HKG-LAX on CX and it's not even a fair comparison to AA.

I have a mid-day flight tomorrow, LAX-SFO. Will I get PJs?

If you're outbound from LHR, particularly to the US, they will stock the PJs, but primarily for the overnight return to LHR. That's why they try to avoid using them on the outbound daytime flights.

While they do not hand them out on the US-bound flights, I've never experienced any reticence at all when I've requested them.
