And that thread has several instant ways of doing it - buying or donating miles, for example.
Use the Search Feature - link to this guideline
Before starting a thread, use the search feature to see if there's a recent thread on your topic. Many questions come up repeatedly on FlyerTalk. If you're wondering about a specific Hilton property in Chicago, for example, there's a good chance a thread - or 10 - already exists. The search link is located in the navigation menu near the top of the Forums page. Keeping information on the same topic confined to as few threads as possible helps members quickly find the information they need.

Bumping this for any new ideas? I'm flying, but after the date the miles are due to expire.
Last resort I'll have to buy some About 37k at risk.

ANY - even the smallest - purchase, donation or change in your account will suffice for a date reset. A donation to miles for kids in need, for example, (minimum is 1,000 miles) will reset the account. (Buying 1,000 miles is IMO not such a good deal, at $$29.50 + $30.00 USD transaction charge.)

Jenbel, if you haven't already got one, there's a 10,000 mile first use bonus after opening AAdvantage AmEx/Visa credit card accounts at http://www.americanairlines.co.uk/i1...&title=uk/mbna
From then on, just use the card at least once every 18 months to keep your miles alive - well, say 16 months just in case.
The 20,000 bonus offer ended on 31 May.
