Yes. No problem at all.

Just tried to use GCs but got an error twice at the last session on AA.com.
Then tried to hold the reservation but there was no "hold" option....
( I know where "hold" option after recent web design change)

Do you have a promo code applied? You can't hold an itinerary if you do.

At 5:30 pm on 7/5/12 I was at the Costco in Rego Park (Queens), NY--they have NO AA GC's. (The discount was nice while it lasted.)

Correct. They stack, but ticket must be purchased on the spot.

Just to confirm that these are going away

Yes, they will be discontinued after the current supplies run out.

I was at two CostCo locations in the past two days (first one didn't have enough ). Both confirmed unequivocally that they would not be getting more once these were gone. Of course, no one could say for sure whether these would come back "at some point."

I also received a PM from a very credible source (you're just gonna have to trust me on this one), that the program is, indeed, ending.

We got 50, which should tide us over for about a year's travel.

Cheers.

But then that's the nature of Costco merchandise in general. Things come and go. Sometimes stuff sticks around for awhile and sometimes it's only a few weeks.

... you bought $15,000 worth of AA gift cards?!?

True, but the impression I got from the PM was that this was more than just a "CostCo seasonal" thing. It could come back, but I wouldn't expect it any time soon.

Yup. And it only cost $13.499.50...and generated hotel points in various programs Of course, the time value of these goes down the longer they sit around, but some money is in handy, but low-return positions right now, so the loss is not that much. And these are returnable if there ever were a need.

Edit: Sunnyvale CostCo (Lawrence) has about 2, and Mountain View has about 40 at this point.

Cheers.

Almaden Costco in San Jose is down to their last 100 after our latest buy. Almost went back to buy them out when they confirmed these are going away. These were a great deal while they lasted...

Can they be returned after the warehouse quits carrying them? Like 8-9 months later? I want to make a major investment, but if something came up and I couldn't travel I would like a refund

You have the right to cancel for refund within 24 hours when using a promo code. But if it is a one-use code, you will lose it.

No promo code applied. It was RT from 5 regs from NYC to Europe.
Only one reg is on BA, all other regs are on AA.

I tried to book it on AA.com when I was at AC in JFK.
I saw only 3 options(paid by credit card, paid by GC and one more option I don't remember), no Hold 24 hours option for the purchase.

After applying 4Gcs and confirmed zero remainning balance, I selected "purchase" for thefinal step but got an error meg.

Did the same thing with same GCs but got the same error,

A few hours later at AC in MIA, I checked my reservation on AA.com andfond that the 1st reservation was ticketed and 2nd one was "on reqest".

Very strange, never happened to me before....
