NYC Times Square - Grand Central Shuttle Train in AA livery

Anyone take the Shuttle Train lately between Times Square and Grand Central? The train on track 1 is completely painted in AA livery. Looks nice.

Forget the Times Sq./Grand Central Shuttle. What I'd like to see is the BOS/LGA/DCA shuttle in AA livery.

It's the shuttle. Less than one mile, end to end.

(Now, if you could earn a segment, that'd be something. EXP status in about 3 hours, for $2.25 all-in).

That's a lot of money AA has been putting in to advertising in NYC.

I saw this a week and a half ago and was a little surprised. It does look nice. But seemed an odd way for AA to be doing marketing. It wasn't running at the time, so I wasn't able to insist on Priority AAccess....

This follows the OW liveried shuttle train

Before the "wrapped" AA liveried Times Square to Grand Central Shuttle appeared, the month before there was a "wrapped" One World liveried shuttle train.

So AA/OW has had a good presence on that line for the last few weeks.

In terms of eyeballs, the shuttle trains do get a lot of riders and tourists--so they're highly visible ads.

Yes, but we'd get 500 min miles as AA elites, and since we would also pay the $2.25 full fare, we'd also get 750 EQP per ride!

I was surprised as it is wrapped both inside and outside. It was very colorful inside.

As of tonight, the AA shuttle train on Track 1 has been replaced by another train carrying a TV show ad wrap. Too bad, as there are many tourists who could have seen that train in the run up to New Year's Eve.

It's the Times Square Shuttle, also called the Grand Central Shuttle or just the "S".

It operates the short distance between Times Sq and Grand Central-- a remnant of the first NYC subway line.

Confusingly, there are three "S" routes in the NYC subway system.
