ORD/DUB reverts back to 767-300

ORD/DUB reverts back to a 767-300 from 757 with the resumption in April 2011 and goes all the way thru to end of OCT.

I guess it was to be half expected, but nice to see ii loaded already, so time to check any seat assignments.

Interesting to see that they also have loaded Nov 2011 fares ( on a 757), but we will have to wait and see if they decide later on ( after we have all made our plans) if they pull it again next winter

Good to see - much better than the 757. Now if AA would only bring back ORD-FRA...

I am just glad it was actually reloaded for the season, I was worried that they would pull a Moscow and never see the route again. No if only they could code share with EI during the winter

DUB never went seasonal. It was a one-time suspension and was always planned to resume year-round. Of course, AA can change its mind again on that, but with profit sharing to be in full place by November 2011, I think its safe. JFK-MAN is also year-round, now. ORD-FCO and BOS-CDG are all that are seasonal.

I thought ORD-FRA was coming back in the Spring/Summer of 2011. Doesn't that make it seasonal also?

I didn't mind the 757. A few things that I liked better, which I put on the 757L thread. Upgrades obv be better on the 763. ^

ORD-FRA has been discontinued. There has been talk of JFK-FRA, but if it was going to happen this summer, I would have expected an announcement by now.

Why is it "much better?"
The NGBC are wider on the 757L.

I would choose the 763 over the 75L because I enjoy the ability of being able to go to the lav without bothering the person next to me or vice versa.

I prefer the 763 for the following reasons: wider body and so generally has less turbulence; it has 2 aisles; there are more J seats available, so better chances at an upgrade. But if you have purchased J seats or confirmed upgraded J seats then the 3rd factor would not be a problem.

Personal opinion. I like the middle section of the 767 where I have aisle access and there is no one crawling over me. For me, the extra width of the 75L NGBC seats is barely noticeable and a non-issue.

I agree with the middle section part.
This benefit only applies to 1/3 of the seats though

It's a question of wing loading. With nearly-empty fuel tanks, either the 757 or 767 can be difficult in rough air. I've been on both aircraft in those circumstances, and there's not much difference. For a short transatlantic mission like BOS-DUB, a 757 may actually give a better ride in rough air during the initial stages of flight than a 763ER fueled for the same mission.

technically, it should be 1/2 of the seats..... the middle seats and the window seats. Nobody sould be crawling over you if you're in a window seat... I sincerely hope
