AAdvantage E-Shopping 2010 Holiday Bonus

Any news on the bonus if any for 2010??

I am looking at a 15K purchase and would love double miles.

But is it predicated on using a mastercard?

Has that always been the case?

Looks like the bonus email I got was 2x miles + 500 bonus (over $500 spent) with certain retailers.

The 2010 Holiday shopping bonus news is not out yet so far as I know. Last year's was meager.

Watch for double AA miles on some retailers. Last year Endless.com was double which made 12 miles per $.

Can't remember the details of the MasterCard requirement.

Its out, and its even more meager than last year IMHO:

https://www.aadvantageeshopping.com/doublemiles.aspx

Fewer double mile merchants than ever and a 500 mile bonus for spending at least $500.

The list is truely pathetic. What happened to all the eletronic retailers? I hope the list will grow between now and the new year.

Last year when Vesdia rolled out the merchant list for the Holiday/Christmas bonus they never added more merchants to it.

Got my email a couple hours ago.

Meager! Meager!

Pitiful!

I will do my AA eshopping as I had intended and if I hit $500 so be it, but I'm not going to make any big effort to do so.

No Endless, No Drugstore, No Overstock............on the doubles.

my heart skipped a beat when i read the subject line of the email before clicking to open the email: "Your Holiday Gift: Double Miles."

i think we all know what i was HOPING was the content of the email -- certainly not double shopping miles *sigh*

I agree. What a very crappy list this year. My annual Harry and David's purchase went from four miles to five miles, but that still is alot less than their normal double miles offer.

Not sure if I will hit the seasonal $500 threshold to hit the 500 mile bonus either.

The 2010 thread has now been separated out, and the 2009 thread is linked from the OP.

Harry & David is a direct AAdvantage partner. I'd be on the lookout for a special offer from them directly this holiday:

Yes, do keep an eye on the direct AA partners with Harry and David and also several vendors of flowers.

But the best deal for shopping miles is ValueMags at 23 per $. This vendor does not do automatic renewals! Makes for great gifts with little bother and no shipping and gift wrapping. You can even buy magazines for yourself and haul in the miles.

I was planning on a new Macbook, so this promo actually helps! Will get my normal 1 mile per dollar through Apple (I am using Apple as opposed to another vendor since I get an educaton discount) plus the 500 bonus miles!
