AA Gold - Will BA match my status? How will BA treat me?
I am planning a trip on BA, will they match my status. I am a lifetime Gold

I believe that AA Gold is the equivalent of One World Emerald Status

1. I don't know.
2. I would guess? That if one is AA Gold (regardless of how you have such status) - that all oneworld partners accord you the benefits/status of the corresponding level?
I'm curious - being lifetime Plat myself - I had assumed that my benefits for one-world travel also were maintained.

Perhaps WildRyan was thinking of BA gold being equivalent to OW Emerald.

on BA a ruby status means nothing if you are a gold on AA

There is no equivalent status on BA - so they will not match status, that's for sure.

Howdy,
(Not trying to hijack - just want to expand the threat a bit).
1. As a lifetime plat on AA - each year I fail to make EXP they will send me a plat card
(if #1 above is correct)
2. Will all One World Partners recognize me as Sapphire?

BA does not status match, and does not recognize OW Ruby/AA Gold, so no - BA will not match your status.

Actually, there is a status match opportunity for certain companies, and BA offered to match my AA EXP to BA Gold. According to the table provided, BA will also match AA PLT and Gold to BA Silver...

question is why would you want to now that you get matching EQM/EQP on AA FF...
AA Gold = OW ruby
PAKSE - your lifetime PLAT gives you OW Sapphire and OW will keep those benefits as long as you keep producing the cards when you enter their lounges etc...
