Spoke too soon.. the list of "eligible markets" does not match reality.

There's an important distinction - the Ts and Cs actually say "up to 700 miles".

That is important, because MIA - RDU is exactly 700 miles! ^ ^

Great to see these back. But bummed only valid thru 12/15. In the past, though, they were valid from September-ish thru February, which made them a great deal from DFW to often-pricey ski destinations.

Partial match of UA promo - UA one is valid through 1/7 and allows connection with mileage counted "as crow flies"

This is fantastic on two counts..I was looking at bringing my daughter home for a few days, MSY-MIA and also looking at some MR's positioning in RDU.

Couldn't be better timing for me..

I saw ORD to SHV on the short hops list, and for a second I was very excited that they might have brought that non-stop flight back!

looks like they didn't bother updating the valid city pairs since they stopped caring about the west coast (except LAX). SFO-SNA, SJC-SNA, SAN-SJC don't exist anymore.

Is it really worth it to use the miles as a positioning flight? I guess it depends on your run but it would really cut into your RDM cpm.
