Ex-BNA/PIT/RDU/STL promos and partner flights
As we know AA sometimes runs bonus eqm/rdm promotions that are only valid on AA flights. According to AA, "Flights operated by our codeshare partners or oneworld alliance carriers are not eligible for this promotion."
However, I am not clear on what "not eligible" means here. In particular, should partner-operated flights not even be in the itinerary, or you simply don't get the bonus for such flights (but get it for AA flights)?
Example: Currently there is a promo for rt flights ex BNA. Let us say you fly
BNA-JFK-NRT (AA)
NRT-Y-NRT (AA #, non-AA metal)
NRT-JFK-BNA (AA)
(1) Does the inclusion of AA/JL codeshare flights mean you won't get any bonus for the entire itinerary, or simply not for the codeshare flights?
(2) Would taking a stopover in NRT mess up the promo bonus in any way?
Thanks.

2) I'm not sure it would, however someone else might know something different. The main requirement is to depart/arrive in RDU/BNA/etc.

We already have two threads on this promotion (where your questions are answered). How about reading through these first and post your questions there?
