The San José, California Norman Y. Mineta International Airport / SJC no longer has an Admirals Club, as AA has de-emphasized this airport.
As of 9 Jan 2013 there is a new lounge near the Federal Inspection across from gate A-15 (third level), Club@SJC, which sells day passes and is a Priority Club and Diners Club lounge (free to ANA Business pax to TYO) ; it offers courtesy WiFi, work carrels with PCs, shower facilities, beverages and snacks etc. Hours 0500 - 2200. Link.

Two weeks ago we returned on 1035 DFW-SJC (late, as usual). Walked out and the view was not familiar.
We had arrived at gate 5?!?!?!
Cheers.

Received tentative information for us (AA) at SJC.
A two gate shift to 9 and 10 effective July 12 is what we have been told.
Not a big difference. But SJC costs remain high.
While I would never discuss any inside information from my own airline, I was told by an extremely reliable source that US Air pays the City of San Jose $400,000 per month for operational costs.
Not cheap.
