777s gone from LAX-MIA in July and August

It looks like my favorite flight, the 777 from LAX to MIA is gone in July and August. Gone from the return as well.

There isn't a 763 either in the LAX-MIA direction, only the reverse direction.

More 757s. Any chance they are international config with nice F seats?

Check to see how many rows in First class there are. 4 rows is the international J, 6 rows is regular domestic F

763s are being reconfigured with winglets, hence reductions in domestic 763 flying all summer and the move of 772s to lots of Dallas-Europe flying.

Between July 2nd and August 23rd, the plane that usually operates MIA-LAX-MIA during the daylight will instead operate a third daily MIA-EZE flight.

Flying this route on a 777 for the first time next week. When I saw the thread, I immediately went to my AA account to see if there was a schedule change, but then I remember it was for the summer period.

I actually picked this flight (flying to SAN) because of the possibility of upgrading to J and getting the flagship service. Sad to see this one gone for the summer, but AA International destinations are the money making ones. Hope to see it back during the winter season.

They are all old style slave ships (other than the 763 only flying westbound).

And the Friday returns are $347 one way for every flight but one for August 20.

(vs. around $197 for when I booked my June trips).

Just took the 777 MIA-LAX this morning. Had issues with a seat the didn't want to move forward or backwards unless I got out and stood in the aisle before pushing the control buttons. Sigh. How can these seats be getting old already?

Just noticed in a recent schedule change flying LAX-MIA on Sept 1st that it changed from a 757 to a 762. Are 762's normal on this route?

Not that I've seen b/f. From LAX I believe the 762s mainly go to JFK. Big improvement over the 757. I really hope they bring back the 777s and 763s

The 777 and 763s aren't leaving. It's 2x 767/1x 772 by the end of August.

It is a temporary reduction due to 763 winglet installation and seasonal increase in Buenos Aires service.
