Surprise Visitor in the DFW Admirals Club

I was in the DFW Admirals Club today and a surprise visitor ran by past me. It was a BIG FAT RAT!!! At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a rat dart out from under the chair next to me continue running across the room and under several chairs. I jumped up and told the cleaning guy that I say a rat but either he did not understand English or he did not think it was a big deal. I pointed to the chairs were the rat ran and he looked under them but of course he did not see it. A few minutes later the rat was behind my chair! I got up and ran to the front desk and let the representative know so he called someone to look into the matter. I am sure some people will say---"what's the big deal?" The big deal is I did not expect to come in contact with a rat in the Admirals Club while I was watching television.

(Mike sits back and grabs some popcorn in anticipation of what this crowd can come up with in terms of responses.)

There's great potential for amusement in this thread but I'll leave them for the many FTers with a far wittier sense of humor . (And I now see mikeef has already got the ball rolling!)

Just out of curiosity, which AC was it?

Well, if it makes anyone feel better, there have been reports of rodent infestations in UA's RCCs for years. AA is simply catching up with the competition. And this report has nothing on the reports about certain sanitation issues with catering at DEN.

Yeah! I saw him too! He was sitting across from me in 1A on DFW-FRA.

Its not his fault he was stuck in the AC... DFW doesn't have a Flagship Lounge!

It's part of a planned new food menu called Agnawa.

(Ok that's my lame attempt at humour).

Which DFW lounge?

I would have screamed loudly. I'm absolutely terrified of rats (god, shudder to even type the word). There would absolutely have been a reaction since I would probably have been standing on the seat or table screaming and crying.

With a loss of almost $500 MM, they need more members.

What time of day was it? The reason I ask, is that the snacks at lunch were tastier than normal...

It's the DFW Club closest to Terminal C Gate 15. It was my first time visiting this club.

Exactly! There are already enough of them on TV.
