500 Bonus Miles to sign up for AA Shopping

I found the link on the bottom of the AA log in page(small graphic image) and when you click on it, there will be a promo code in the url. I was already registered but I got my husband signed up.

Does this suck big time!!!!!!!!

In mid-March, AA sent out an email offer for 250 miles for sign-up.

Thanks. great share. I can register myself, however, there are some problems while registering for my wife, kept saying invalid AAdvantage #, which I am 100% sure it's correct.... maybe wait until tomorrow and try again.

So I am confused: I signed up, registered my cc, and then got taken to a page to shop. Do I have to buy something first? I did not get any confirmation of my registration at that point.

Thanks just signed up

I just signed up for 500 miles as the 250 miles were just too little(:. It pays to wait for the 500 mile offers. Its more miles than I would earn on a SJC-LAX flight(308 miles).

You don't even HAVE to enter the credit card # - those fields aren't required. I was just able to sign up my wife for the promo w/o entering a CC number.

Pardon the dumb question...

...but where does it say on the page that there are 500 miles involved? I looked all over and there is no mention of any 500-mile award.
Thanks for posting this.
