As of this week, both HA HNL lounges are now open. Unfortunately, the Plumeria Lounge (the one accepting Priority Pass) closes at 4pm so it’s not very useful for any of AA’s evening departures.

HNL lounge situation

Hi there, we are flying ex HNL (to PHX) on Wed eve in F. Looks like AA is closed. Japan Airways is showing their Sakura lounge as being operational, does anyone know if that’s true? We are both OW Emeralds (BA Gold) … many thanks!

The space is shared by AA and JL. AA AC members currently don't have access on US domestic itineraries, even as AC members, however as BA OWEs you have access regardless based on OW rules since the AA carve out for domestic flights isn't a consideration.

Excellent!

Although one would hope that soon enough AC members would actually have access... due to, I don't know, membership .

The HNL club is gonna be a zoo w all premium cabin pax plus AC members plus JL pax using it!!! Wow, I’m gonna guess that’s the end of a self serve bar there.

I wouldn't be too concerned on the one hand. I would think there is quite a bit of overlap between AC members and premium cabin flyers in general. And the shared space is huge.. Now the bathroom situation, being outside the lounge, might become an issue.

I am flying DFW-HNL in F in about 3 weeks. How do I know whether my ticket is "Flagship" or not. Are all F tickets = Flagship? I don't think so.

Quick answer is no. Not all F tickets = Flagship. Only select routes offer Flagship tickets (J or F). Theses are clearly shown on aa.com during the purchase process.

No, not all Hawaii flights are “Flagship.” Only the midcon flights (DFW/ORD/CLT, operated with widebody equipment) market the premium cabin as Flagship Business.

(so, the flights to/from LAX and PHX are not Flagship, for example)

Thanks. I paid for DFW-HNL in fare class D (Discount First/Business) so I guess that is not Flagship. I honestly cannot remember whether the Flagship label was there since I purchased this over a year ago and modified it twice.
