Mailbox *inside* of JFK T8?

I searched to no avail, and called AA, who told me that there's no USPS mailbox inside of security at T8 in JFK.

Again according to AA, the rep at the Admirals Club will mail it for a member.

If anyone knows otherwise I would appreciate a post.

To have a mailbox airside would require that the letter carrer doing pickup clear security. Has anyone ever seen a USPS letter carrier on a security line?

The AC idea sounds like the best way if you don't have time to go landside yourself.

It doesn't seem to be a problem at DFW, ORD, SDF, CVG, and many other airports around the country.

Most domestic Admirals Club locations will handle USPS mail and also FedEx drop-off and pick-up services. Could be very handy for somebody who is transiting through an Admirals Club to somewhere international and needs a U.S. address to give Amazon or another such company for some merchandise.

If I understand your post, they accept incoming mail as well? Definitely handy.

Incoming FedEx yes. Not sure about USPS (probably not).

I have frequently mailed stuff from ORD, from near Gate K1.

No, JFK T8 does NOT have a USPS drop-off box post security. Not sure if the AC will accept mail to be dropped off or not. That I would rely on other FTers.

MSP has several drop-off locations through-out the airport....but at the same time, they have a USPS center there at the airport.

Just think of the added safety by denying this service! ^

How much added safety would there be by not having this? What ever goes into the mail box has already cleared security.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8820/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

I've sent FedEx envelopes before in JFK, MCI ACs before. Never tried regular mail.

I'm sorry, what would the added safety post security be for this? Everything has already cleared security.

There have been many times where I would take a bill with me here in MSP knowing that I would be able to drop off the bill inside security at MSP. Sometimes I even forget to drop it off and now have to wait either to get to ORD or even wait a day until I can drop it off at the hotel front desk.

So much easier when it's inside security rather than outside security...outside would create more of a security concern...
