The Glenlivet 12 was reported as no longer being bottled in mini sized bottles, as discussed in this thread - that report may be in error. Whatever the reason, AA has changed their whisky/whiskey offerings.

Glenlivet appears to be back: it was observed on 3 different mainline flights the week of 20 June 2016.

Glenlivet "mini" bottles phased out (late 2013)

I was on flight 145 on December 28th, BOS-LAX. I ordered a Glenlivet for my post takeoff drink. The purser informed me that she had received a memo in the last few days that they will be suspending Glenlivet as soon as current stocks run out.

Does anyone have an additional information on this cut?

It is true a memo about this was sent out. Along with this, we are finding that many stations are having serious catering issues being able to stock glasses, wine/rock, ramekins, linens, utensils and other products for flights.

as dsg10715 said, it's the beginning of the end

I guess it will be just like the vegetarians, instead of eating prior to flying, one will have to drink prior.

The Glenlivet I can understand. AA may have made a decision that eliminating it would save more in costs than it would cost in revenue. I don't understand the other issues. I thought AA owned those items, and vendors just clean them. Once AA went into bankruptcy, the vendors know that AA will pay their post-petition debt, so why not clean those items?

As Mr. Bill would say "Oh, Noooo!!!" Those two precious bottles were often the highlight of my flight.

Water.

Given a choice between water and any kind of alcohol, I'll take water. Healthy, better-tasting, hydrating, liver-friendly, hangover-free water.

My staff bought a bottle of it for me for the holidays. I guess I'll have to have one before I leave for the airport now.

Water is tasteless by definition....

My liver and I are not really on speaking terms anymore, but we've been together a long time so we put up with each other. He gets water in the mornings and I get the hard stuff anytime after 4PM.

Except on weekends, then I have full custody.
