How about getting a US club membership now?

Well I've never considered getting a membership with HP as I felt it was a waste of money b/c 1. I don't need it for Phoenix--I drive to PHX to leave Phoenix so my time is limited at best 2. I do not travel to LAX or LAS

It looks like one might get way more bang for the buck now with US's additional locations, not to mention and optional membership "upgrade" with UA's redcarpet clubs. Probably the next best thing to PP.

I was looking over details of US's clubs and I see it says "T Mobile WIFI Hotspot". Big deal--it's not free! All (or just about any airport I've been in every week) has wifi hotspots, it's getting having ones for free that count (e.g., BOI!). On a related sidenote I notice if you are in T4 and are hanging around the HP club entrance you can pickup their free WIFI, but service is spotty enough not to warrant it's usage.

I had myself matched to Silver on US based not on my HP status, but my Delta status so that I could benefit from US flights until the merger. I recently moved from AZ to PA, so this was really a necessity. I visited the US club at PIT the other day and bought the $25 day pass. This is good for $25 off of the membership fee which I will also be able to purchase with my status discount. The real question is, will buying an HP 'HUB CLUB' membership, which is only good in the 4 HP clubs, convert to a US club membership post merger? It is cheaper than the standard US club membership. I myself will probably buy a US membership as I can get into the HP clubs with my NW Worldclubs card.

Yeah, but you need the password in order to use it.

I wasn't a member of HP's club until recently. I was always in it however due to the F fares I was buying between PHX and LAX. I wanted to join the HP club so I could have the last Club card with America west on it.

If you decide to join US's club make sure you sign up here for the bonus miles.
