Redeeming NW miles on HP

Has anyone on this forum ever successfully redeemed NW miles to obtain flights on America West (or any other airline, for that matter)? I can see the NWA website where they say it is possible, but short of calling the airlines up, I don't see any electronic means of accomplishing this goal.

Do I call NorthWest or America West? Am I likely to succeed?

You will need to call Northwest Airlines to redeem your WorldPerks miles.
