NH said they wanted to get rid of international 747s by 2011. My guess is that the 747s will be converted to freighters and sent down to Okinawa where NH is setting up its regional cargo hub.

There is nothing related to 787 at all, 744 is replaced by 77W. 787 is only going to add additonal seats for some long haul routes. 787 mostly going to replace all 763, which NH stated because of the 787 delay, they have to order additonal 763.

I am helping friends plan an F class *A journey using their Aeroplan miles.
One routing that we are comtemplating is using NH from Japan to Europe. Which destination in Europe ( from NRT or elsewhere in Japan ) would provide them with the best First Class experience, both in the air and on the ground ?
Any other comments or ideas gratefully accepted.

Given how few seats turn up for redemption on NH F, your first priority should be finding a flight that even has space to begin with. The phrase "rarer than a hen's teeth" comes to mind...
Soon, all flights will be operated by 77W, which means that the three flights from NRT to LHR, CDG and FRA will be identical in all aspects of the in-flight service. I would suggest just choosing whichever flight you manage to find space on

I have the 744 showing up for a flight from NRT to CDG on 20 November...
Looks like they have the 744 operating on Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon and the 777 on Tue, Wed, Thu around then...
