ANA saying 2.5 hours is too little time for lay over hence wont book
Booking a ORD to DEL to MAA round-trip using ANA miles. ORD to DEL will be united business arriving at 7.30 PM. There is a 10 PM Air India flight available from DEL to MAA using miles. But ANA would not book it for me. Saying 2.5 hours is too little per rules (need 3 hours it seems) for connection in India. Thats frustrating TBH
Same flights are showing up on United (for mileage redemption) and expedia (cash obviously). Anyone know a work around? For now, went ahead and booked ORD to DEL (onward), then MAA to DEL to ORD (return) for 136K miles. HUCA didnt help either.
Thoughts?

In DEL, standard international to domestic connections seem to have a min connection time of 3 hours. AFAIK if you buy that ticket and it violates MCT, then you may be forced to accept a change or refund later.
