Unable to book YZF-YVR-HND, TPE-YYZ
I'm looking to book YZF-YVR (stopover) - HND, TPE-YYZ with ANA miles in J. According to my research it should be an admissible itinerary and cost 92.5K miles. However, I'm getting "This service is not available for the specified itinerary. Please amend the flight criteria and try again." whenever I try to book the flight. Sample dates are 10/22, 12/16 and 12/17. What is the issue with the itinerary? The problem disappears if I change the origin airport from YZF to YYC or YEG. Thanks.

Double open jaw is permitted. I thought the problem might be that going YZF-YVR-HND is backtracking (YZF-HND is closer than YVR-HND), but I couldn't find a rule against that. I'll try to call in to book the ticket in a few days if it's clear the itinerary should be valid.

Maybe AC express status as a star alliance partner is a problem.
Some ANA's non-star alliance partner award is bookable as a separate pure partner award, and not combinable.

SFO-EWR//JFK-NRT//HND-ORD can be booked at 55000miles+29850JPY, So there is no backtracking issue, IMHO.

Though being bookable standalone does kind of shoot that theory down.
