Carry on dimension strictness
 
I'm bringing Away's "Bigger Carry-On" which fits all of the individual dimension requirements except for the total linear dimension requirement (total 47 inches vs 45 inch requirement). Has anyone had their carry on inspected?

They are very unlikely to do any checks of carry on items.

Never been checked on weight or measurements on ANA, though I don't make it a habit to exceed what they specify. You should be fine.

nobody will check, as long as you can actually carry your carry on up into the storage bin.
Japanese clients normally dont bring a lot of carry on luggage, so space is plenty and no space grabbing madness like the US.
