Does anyone have any idea when any LAX (hell NA) outbound trips in F will be back online. I'm still laughing they cancelled both of my tickets.

Until October 29th NH203/204 HND-FRA seems to have F availability again! Yay!
Now to hope availability will emerge for November :P

TYO<->SFO on new 77W

Last week I flew from NRT to SFO (NH #8.) It was on the refurbished 77W (with the "Room" and "Suite.")

Next week's return from HND to SFO (NH #107) was scheduled to be on a 789, but I just received a notification about an upgauge to the 77W. So it's 2 for 2 in travelling on "The Suite" this time.

I think ANA was supposed to refurbish 12 77W - how many have they been refurbished? Planespotters suggests 9. I am not sure if ANA still plans to have 12 planes upgraded.

It sounds like there is still no certain route (other than NY and London) where the upgraded 77W is featured. Do we know which routes ANA eventually plans to use the upgraded 77W? Hoping ORD will get one.

FRA was one route (only half the flights though) that was at pre-pandemic advertised to get them. I think ORD would be lower on the priority list, as usually the planes fly out from HND (basically tier 1 cities) rather than NRT (except for one of the flights to NY, which timing-wise only make sense to have one rotation out of NRT).

LAX has been another reliable route during the pandemic (both NH105/106 to/from HND and NH5/6 to/from NRT), but for some reason NH decided that neither flight needs F during the summer 2022 season, with both flights downgauged to 789s effective this coming weekend. I wonder what the rationale is behind not offering F to LAX at all, and what the plans are for the 2-3 freed up 77Ws.

(FWIW, the second HND frequency, NH125/126, is still showing a 77W with F later in the summer, but it hasn't operated during the pandemic and I assume it will get scrubbed in due course.)

NH125 is my F award booking in September, and I'm almost 100% sure come Saturday I'll get a cancellation, especially since my HND-YVR for later that month in J has been cancelled already. Ah well. Try again next year I suppose.

ANA will show you on their site if you go through a booking to the seat selection.

Actually, you don't need to go all the way to seat selection. Basic search results will show you "the room" or "the suite."

You can also search the C seat map. If the middle seats are arranged D--G and -EF- in alternate rows, you have the new configuration. If they are arranged D-F- and -E-G in alternate rows, you have the old configuration.

thanks everyone for the help.

Booked LAX - HND on the 77W - NH105 departing at 12:50AM PST in the next week

When going through the ANA website and selecting seats, it says “The Suite”, so am thinking that I may have lucked out? Have been on their “old” F product before, so looking forward to comparing if so. Not so much worried about the late night service as it’s pretty late by then already, and this was the best flight for my schedule (connecting onto BKK then DXB)

On a side note, I don't think Bangkok allows transit on separate tickets yet. So if you are on separate tickets HND-BKK-DXB you should check up on that.
