A question about ANA's waitlist
 

I have read around on here quite a bit and don't see the answer.

I am planning a trip to Australia this summer and want to use MR points to fly business. I have been playing with different routes on ANAs site for months.

It appears all "ANA Awards" for business are waitlisted that far out. Is this true? This does not apply to their "Star Alliance Awards". But when I check flights for next week I see some ANA business awards that aren't waitlisted. I'm guessing at some point they open up their business seats for awards. If so, does anybody know when they do this? Thanks.

depends on the load, which depends on the dates. flying out on a Tuesday night in mid June to SYD has a higher chance than looking for similar flights on a Friday in July or august ( japan school holidays, Australia holidays)
