Business class ticket prices dropped almost $2000 after purchasing

A SLC-NRT business class ticket dropped almost $2000. Is there something I can do about this? It was P class, so according ot the website I am not allowed a refund? Thanks guys!

DoT rules say you can cancel any ticket in 24h. Other than that I don't believe there is much to do.

What if the price rose after you bought the ticket?
is there anything the airline can do to charge you the difference?

it was a decision to buy at that price and within that ticketís cancel/refund/change conditions.
check how much it hurts to cancel and rebook.

Gotta live with the decision!

Things arenít always that black and white. Some airlines allow a change for a fee. Some have a grace period of 30 days with a fee (in addition to the 24 hour use). Some airline donít charge a fee at all for elite members.

24h = cancel free or wait until a change in schedule allows you to cancel for free (but then the $ advantage might have vanished too).

This is ANA, not "some airlines". No grace period past the 24 hours, not even for ANA elites.
From Original Poster's post, a non-refundable P fare was bought.
Black and white.

It's like any item you buy and goes on sale tomorrow.

NH 8x DIA and MM here... The alliance with United really screwed up ANA's pricing.

Back in the day, you were able to hold advanced bookings for ~7 days without paying. The pricing scheme was also more simple and predictable. Essentially, the earlier you booked and more seats were available, the cheaper the pricing.

Since UA's alliance, however, pricing swings as with UA and other U.S. carriers and depends on a confluence of factors, routings, supply/demand comping with codeshare flights, etc. etc. Really awful. You would never have Business Class tickets drop $2,000 after booking. That's just crazy and insulting. Even if they can't do anything for you, you should call ANA and share your displeasure.

After the 24 hour cancellation period has ended, NEVER LOOK AT PRICES AGAIN.
Use the time to work on the details of your trip.
