Out of curiosity, how often does this happen? ANA plane at Novosibirsk airport
So this is Novosibirsk airport, waiting for my flight back to Moscow, but I noticed this ANA aircraft here both today and on Friday morning. To the best of my knowledge, ANA has no connection to Novosibirsk at all. How common is it for an airline to land, or even remain, at an airport it has no connection to?

No idea what the reason is but I was at (London) Southend airport a while back and a succession of British Airways aircraft landed and took off.- BA didn't fly from Southend at that time and I'm not sure if that's still the case or not.
Somehow, likely by the indicator board, it was made known to us passengers that this was a planned event and probably it was some sort of orientation or training programme.

Clearly I need to get out more but....
FR24 is showing this as a semi regular occurrence, in from Hamburg Finkenwerder around once a month or so (5 times since July). The one currently on the ground appears to be an A321neo registration JA138A, which shows as having been registered 0.1 years
in summary, this appears to be some kind of technical stop en route of delivery of neos
edit to add https://www.ch-aviation.com/portal/n...maiden-a321neo seemingly confirming this

With little detective work I presume that is ANA's new A320neo that has made a scheduled stop in Russia while on its delivery flight from Hamburg to Tokyo. Of course, the length of this stop is bit longer than one would expect for a simple technical stop (mainly to refuel), but perhaps otherwise the pilots' working hours would exceed the maximum allowed.

Not sure if the fuel price has much to do with the choice of location, but I notice that since Novosibirsk has some aircraft industry (Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association named after V.P. Chkalov) and used to host S7 airlines' HQ, I presume there would be suitable facilities to carry out some maintenance work in case some teething problems were found out on a delivery flight.

As other commenters surmised this indeed appears to be a delivery flight.
