ANA Honolulu Lounge (consolidated)
ANA Press Release - May 30, 2018
QUOTE: " TOKYO, May 30, 2018 - All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest and only 5-Star airline, is creating a new lounge in the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu in line with the newly introduced "ANA HAWAii" concept and in preparation for the launch of the Airbus A380 (FLYING HONU) on the Tokyo - Honolulu route (*1). The lounge will be opening in spring 2019, making it the largest lounge in the airport, incorporating the ANA SUITE LOUNGE and ANA LOUNGE (*2). " https://www.ana.co.jp/group/en/pr/20...0180530-2.html Design images and entrance eligibility included in press release ------- MODS - I started this thread as it relates to the new ANA lounge in HNL. I wasn't sure if this post belonged in the main ANA 380 discussion thread or in any of the ANA lounge threads. Feel free to move/merge/edit. Thanks |
I just posted in the A380 thread before seeing your thread So now it is in both places Probably need a merge for here or there.....

Thus, I left it to the mod to decide. |
The new lounge ANA is building in HNL for its A380 operations is quite substantial. Really sets them apart from the competition really. Way to go ANA.

Gate 29/C4 is great.
Current ANA/UA/DL flights use the diamond head wing at HNL, which requires a wiki wiki bus to get to immigration. (Possibly one of the worst international arrivals experiences anywhere, IMHO) You can't walk because there's no secure walkway from the Diamond Head wing to immigration. However gate 29/C4 is on the wing that has direct secure walkable access to immigration. Good news for ANA and HNL indeed. -David |
That's a pretty rad idea they're going to execute!
|
This is a great reason to use ANA when flying HNL from Japan. Now if they could also add a Gold Track security pass...
|
Is the lounge only for ANA and only for A380 flights? e.g. Would *G flying on other carriers have access to it?

Lounge access info is in the ANA Press Release I linked in my post, which I also mentioned just below that link |
Having a new lounge is pretty significant and warrants a new thread, in my opinion.

Great to see some investment in HNL, both in lounge and aircraft/onboard product.

Very nice article from RGN. Some interesting details about the gate design, boarding set up, plus a video.

Having a young child myself, I appreciate ANA including a kids play zone in the lounge, although the size in the rendering looks woefully inadequate. We all know that flights between Japan/HNL can easily have dozens if not more kids. Granted, not all will have lounge access, but considering the size of the A380, I hope they have made proper plans.

I wonder whether UA*G will have access when flying to the mainland (and if so, how many will figure this out).
