How do the FA prepare soup based meals?

Meals like ramen, Udon.

Do they just reheat the soup packet and or just add hot water into the soup paste like how we do it for instant noodles?

Depends on the class we are talking about. In Y just instant ramen, in F closer to what chain ramen restaurants do for their ingredients.

On other carriers I've seen containers of soup in clear plastic containers.

These are the kind of containers that can go into the oven and be heated.

Soup comes contained in small aluminum foil type containers with a paper cover on top.
They get heated together with entree in the ovens and then poured into soup bowls.
